If you miss the Fish Fest, don't fret! I still sell fish by appointment only, usually on Saturdays. I have two, 900 gallon stock tanks, which I am willing to drain down once a week to catch the fish. Any more often than that would cause undue stress on my fish, which would compromise their health. I am willing to make exceptions, but please understand that the health of the fish is more important to me than the sale. |
What is the Fish Fest, you ask? The Fish Fest is a service I offer to my clients, sort of. For those of you who are not pond obsessed, you will not understand, but I wish you well. Live long and prosper. For those of us who ARE pond and fish obsessed, it is an opportunity to break free of the winter doldrum shackles and celebrate the rebirth of the earth's bounty. Too melodramatic? Not if you're a pond geek or a fish nerd. I give my clients a chance to get first pick of the new inventory at my Fish Fest. The doors open at 10:00 a.m., and it's usually a mad house, with the most spectacular fish getting snapped up by otherwise relaxed and polite pond people gone completely daft. I hold the Fish Fest at my house in Gridley, IL. The Street address is 211 W. 4th Street, but if you're looking it up on Mapquest, Yahoo Maps, or Google, go one block further west to the corner of 4th and McLean. (Obviously I would post a map if any of them were accurate.) |
